Less nice weather in The Hague, what now?
⚓️ The canal boats of Boat Tour The Hague (Boot Varen Den Haag) are low enough to pass under all bridges in The Hague and Scheveningen. This does mean that in our royal city, you may need to make a courteous bow when passing under a low bridge during the cruise in The Hague city center.
⚓️ In the Netherlands, rain is always a possibility. Fortunately, these are usually brief showers in spring and summer. The skipper can then take the boat to shelter under one of the many bridges. Our experience shows that this always adds an extra cozy atmosphere to the cruise. When was the last time you sought shelter under a bridge in a cruise boat full of friends and family?
⚓️ In the event of heavy rain and/or thunderstorms on the day of sailing, you can cancel free of charge up to 2 hours in advance by phone.
Boot Tour The Hague (Boot Varen Den Haag) does not charge cancellation fees in this case. We don’t like stress 🙂
⚓️ By mutual agreement, we can also consider rescheduling the boat trip to a later or earlier time.
⚓️ Once a boat trip has begun, it cannot be canceled, and therefore no refund will be issued.
⚓️ The weather on the day of sailing is usually (99%) much better than forecasts days in advance indicate.
Trust us, we do this since 2012.
⚓️ Canceling due to heavy rain is therefore only free up to 2 hours in advance on the day of sailing and not day(s) in advance.
⚓️ In the event of cancellation on the day(s) before boating, we will charge € 50,- cancellation fee, regardless of the reason for cancellation.
⚓️ On the day of boating you can’t cancel or change the booked boat tour anymore. (Except within 2 hours before departure if heavy rain is expected during the boat tour.)
⚓️ In case of a no-show on the day of boating, we will charge 100% of the total amount.
⚓️ An order placed with our external partners/caterers cannot be canceled free of charge.
Please read below for our terms regarding arrangements and catering.
⚓️ If you have booked a cruise with an arrangement, we will work with you (and in consultation with any third party) to assess the possibilities. Cancellation fees vary per arrangement.
⚓️ If you have booked catering during the cruise, we are required to provide the order to the caterer 72 hours in advance.
⚓️ Once the order is placed, it cannot be canceled by us. The amount paid for this catering will be deducted.
Of course, you can choose to pick up the order from the caterer, as you have already paid for it. Cancellation fees vary per catering order.
